Lines in the Sand
Lines in the Sand
Our elevated field watch, the C65 Dune Automatic, is reborn with bold new dials and a host of subtle improvements. Fresh, natural world colours and revised details – check out the simplified seconds hand and lack of a date window – are joined by a three-dimensional rippled dial, inspired by the spellbinding Aeolian waves the wind creates in sand landscape, including at the mighty Dune du Pilat in Aquitaine, and first seen on the our hit Oracle Time collaboration, the Dune Shoreline LE. Naturally, the compact 38mm case, box-sapphire crystal and lume-laden markers remain, as does water-resistance to 150m – and an indomitable adventurous spirit.

Sellita SW200-1 Automatic
A workhorse watch demands a workhorse to power it, and you’ll find few hardier movements than Dune’s Sellita SW200-1 Automatic. It’s Swiss-made, self-winding, and known for accuracy, reliability and a useful 38-hour power reserve – so you can leave it on the bedside table for more than a day and it won’t need rewinding.

Ripple effect
Dune’s fascinating sculpted three-dimensional wave pattern dial is ultra-legible whichever colour you pick: Eve (blue), Marram (green), Silica (grey) or Sand (white). Inspired by nature, they’re the sort of shades you might find on a 1950s Land Rover or ancient, sun-bleached hoodie. We’ve even dropped the date window, in the name of field watch purity.

Case history
Dune’s 38mm case is one of the most versatile around. Large enough to be easily read, yet small enough to neatly sidestep unwanted encounters with rocks and trees, it reflects the ‘wrist footprint’ of classic field watches. It looks and feels great on virtually any wrist.

Crystal clear
Much of the Dune’s retro joy comes from its glass box crystal, a super-strong, bang-up-to-date version of the charismatic crystals you’d find on a 1970s sports watch; happily, it delivers the same charming retro ‘wobble’ when seen from the side.

The beauty inside
That robust watches can be beautiful too is part of Dune’s raison d'être, which is why this is a rare field watch with an exhibition case back, allowing you to enjoy your Sellita movement with its elaboré-finished rotor any time you choose.

Glow up
Dune lives for the outdoors, and when it’s dark out, lume matters. That’s why the handset and hour markers – right down to that cool ‘lollipop’ seconds hand – have been deep-filled with bright-glowing Super-LumiNova® BL Grade X. Even better, each dial colour gets its own specific, complementary shade of lume – a first for the range.
